Easter Egg Hunt

We had an egg hunt the Sunday before Easter at our church. I sat Gracen right on top of an egg, of course a pink one. It took her a while to notice it was there, but then she picked it up and tried to eat it. It was so much fun to watch her and all the other kids looking for eggs. I finally got Jeffrey to take a few pictures of me with Gracen. But for some reason I have become unphotogenic these last few months, so this was the best of her with me.
Isn't her Easter pail so cute! I got it from some ladies in Little Rock: "Two Sister's Design". They have soo many cute pails, picture frames (have 3), coasters, etc. Once I started talking to them, we discovered that they went to Harding University, Camp Tahkodah, and we knew a lot of the same people, and my sister goes to church with them. They are really sweet and have really good looking products!http://www.twosisdesigns.com

Happy Half Birthday, Gracen!

I can't believe my baby is already 6 months old! We have more fun with her every day. She is such a happy baby. She smiles all the time, as you can tell from these pictures. She has such a pleasant personality, and loves people. She's so aware of everything around her. And if it's within reach, she'll try to eat it. My friend Kellie has so much fun watching her. She says that Gracen's going to be smart because she soaks in everything. I think she's right, but I might be a little biased. She's always content and really only cries when she's sleepy. I just never imagined how much I could love someone. I can't get enough of her. Each hug, kiss, smile, and laugh leave me wanting just one more. I'm so thankful that I'm able to only work 2 days and be home with her the rest. I really could not ask for her to be any better. She's my angel!

We had a fun day today. We started off by getting up too early, 7:30. She's been sleeping until at least 8, which is awesome since I'm not much of a morning person. We ate and played for a little while then it was off to Aunt Stephanie's house. She kept her while I got my hair cut and bought her a couple of pretties for this summer. A friend of mine was having a trunk show for "Lollipop Lane". They have some really cute clothes.

She's really getting close to crawling. She'll get up on her hand and knees, rock, and then back to the belly. I don't think it will be much longer.
Look how long her hair is! Oh my goodness. Have you ever seen a 6 month old that needed a hair cut so badly. I've been saying I was going to get it cut for about 3 weeks now, but I just haven't been able to bring myself to it, yet.

We went out to the farm so she could see her Daddy. This was her first time to ride the tractor. I think she enjoyed it. Jeffrey got her the Case IH onesie. The bow really completes the outfit!

She enjoyed her ride, but she wore out quickly. I'm sure if I could get comfortable in the tractor the hum of the engine would lull me to sleep, too.

Well, I'm several pictures behind, so I'll try to post some more tomorrow.

A couple more firsts

March 5 - First time to hold the bottle all by herself. I've let her hold it while I helped her, but she took about 2 ounces holding it all by herself. I was impressed!March 13 - First trip in the laundry basket, courtesy of Grandpa (my dad).March 15 - First time to try to roll out of the swing. I guess we'll be fastening her safety belt from now on.
First time to sit on the back of the couch. (Ok, I'm really not that bad at counting firsts. I just wanted to put up a picture of Gracen with her Aunt Kristy.)March 21 - First trip to the farm and acutally get out of the car.
Gracen and Jeffrey in the wheat. First time to try a sippy cup.

2nd Generation Friends

Gracen and I went home last Wednesday to see my cousin that came in from California, and we stopped in LR to see some friends on the way. My friend Amy has a little girl, Macy, one week younger than Gracen, and my friend Mindy has a little girl, Jaci, two weeks older than Gracen. It is really amazing to me that the three of us had babies within 3 weeks of each other and they were all girls! It was so much fun getting together with them! We had already met Macy, but this was our first time to meet Jaci. I felt like I already knew her from her pictures on Mindy's blog. Enough talk, here's the fun pictures. Left to right: Jaci, Macy, Gracen (the child with the crazy hair).
I love Jaci's face in this one. It looks like she's trying to say something.
Notice that Gracen is eating Macy's hand. Macy is looking at her like "What are you doing?"

Gracen was chillin' out with her arm hanging over the chair.

By this point, poor Macy was thinking, "Get off me!"I love how tangled their arms and legs got during our little photo shoot. These pictures will be so much fun to look at when they're freshmen at Harding!
